Scott Tod

Scott is highly focused on developing strategic partnerships within the multifamily space that provide opportunities for building diversification and collaborative wealth.

In his role as both a Limited and General Partner at SGT Commercial Group, Scott is dedicated to providing selective opportunities for passive investors who seek the benefits of participating as LPs in large Class A and B multifamily assets of 100-300 units.

Scott has developed a process that thoroughly screens for the best available investments which includes identification of proven lead operators with undervalued assets in strong local markets that are conservatively underwritten and offer the potential for exceptional returns and tax advantages.

Through his highly personalized approach of providing continued client education and extensive time spent building trusted relationships that help to provide customizable solutions to individual investors needs within the alternative space, Scott has been instrumental in providing capital for 750+ multifamily units representing over $100M in assets currently under management.

Scott began his real estate career as a single family investor over 20 years ago and started a private money lending company, Best Funding Group, where he completed, as acting Principal, over 100 transactions during his tenure.

Scott also has 25 years of applied Biotech expertise, where he launched 7 new commercial products for cancer start-ups throughout the Midwest at companies such as Celgene, Array BioPharma, and Epizyme, contributing significantly to both sales and market share prior to acquisition.
